Posted
4 December 2009

Rupanyup residents will have even better access to high quality health services thanks to a $79,000 Brumby Labor Government funding boost to Dunmunkle Health Service’s Rupanyup Campus.

Candy Broad, Member for Northern Victoria Region announced the funding boost to Dunmunkle Health Service as part of the Brumby Labor Government’s $80 million Statewide Infrastructure Renewal Program.

“This funding for Dunmunkle Health Service is another example of the Brumby Labor Government’s commitment to ensure all Victorians have access to high quality health services,” Ms Broad.

“The renewal program supports the replacement and upgrade of critical engineering infrastructure such as boilers, chillers, electrical systems, lifts, lighting, water tanks and air conditioning.

The grant to Dunmunkle Health Service in Rupanyup will fund the replacement of the air conditioning.

“The program will enable Dunmunkle Health Service to continue delivering safe and high quality care to patients.”

“The Brumby Labor Government is taking action to deliver the highest quality health services to all Victorians, no matter where they live,” Ms Broad said.

Health Minister, Daniel Andrews said $80 million over four years was committed by the Brumby Labor Government under the 2007/08 Statewide Infrastructure Renewal Program.

“We are committed to providing Victorians with the best possible health services they need close to where they live,” he said.
