2010 marks the Year of the Bulldog. To commemorate the success of the NAB Cup Grand Final, the Western Bulldogs have joined forces with Ms Candy Broad, the Member for Northern Victoria Region with the donation of two Western Bulldogs 'Community Year of the Bulldog Memberships' for members of the community.
Local resident Boris Viti and Jake Viti were the lucky recipients of the community memberships due to their volunteer work at the Sunbury Police & Citizens Youth Club. The Sunbury PCYC aims to create a safe, challenging and disciplined learning environment where young people can participate in gym work, boxing and kickboxing.
The PCYC also offers all age classes in ultimate Muay Thai, Ultimate boxing and Ultimate Cardio Circuit. Ultimate trainer Stuart Ritchie has over 20 years experience in the Combative Arts & Fitness Industry. Stuart is a Vic Fit accredited, Martial Art and Boxing Australia certified trainer and an Ausport coach registered with the Australian Sports Commission. Stuart is available for daily classes, group bookings and private tuition. Stuart can be contacted on 9740 3557
This is an initiative of the Western Bulldogs in partnership with the local member in an effort to help those in the community who may not have been touched by football who will now have a full year's membership to the Bulldogs to attend our home games in what is promising to be an exciting "Year of the Bulldogs"
"The Community Year of the Bulldog Memberships" clearly displays the Western Bulldogs commitment as the 'AFL's Community Club'.
The Bulldogs run a number of community programs throughout the west that have a positive impact on the lives of many. The donation of these community memberships provides the opportunity for two people from our local area, to embrace the great game of Aussie Rules and the exciting game of the Bulldogs," said Ms Broad
Bulldogs Chief Executive, Campbell Rose said "as the community and grass roots club of the national competition we are pleased that Boris and Jake Viti have been given an opportunity to enjoy the football and style of play of the Red, White and Blue".
