Murray Goulburn Co-operative Inducted Into Manufacturing Hall Of Fame

Member for Northern Victoria Region, Candy Broad has congratulated Murray Goulburn Co-operative on its induction into the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame.

Ms Broad said Murray Goulburn Co-operative was recognised for its outstanding manufacturing performance at a ceremony in Melbourne this week.

Speaking at Cobram today at the Murray Goulburn Celebrations to mark its 60th anniversary with farmers and the community, Ms Broad said the Brumby Government supports a successful  dairy industry through its partnership with the industry and Murray Goulburn Co-operative deserves recognition for its achievements as a world class supplier of dairy products for over 60 years.

Grant Davies, Chairman of Murray Goulburn Co-operative, said the award and the recognition was a great result for the farmer owners and employers of the organisation which is the largest processor of milk in Australia


Ms Broad said that the Hall of Fame showcased excellence in Victorian manufacturing and acknowledged individuals who had made outstanding contributions to their respective sectors.

Industry and Trade Minister, Jacinta Allan said that since the inception of the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame in 2001, the Brumby Government has inducted 106 companies, 22 honourees, two lifetime members and seven young manufacturers of the year recipients.
